South West France is an ideal place for those lovers of pictures whether they be photos or paintings. The sheer diversity of the Nouvelle Aquitaine region in regards to landscape and coastline is a fact to why South West France is becoming one of the most visited regions in a country which is the most visited in the world.
To the north lies the English Channel and the North Sea whilst to the west lies the Atlantic Ocean and to the south is the calm of the Mediterranean Sea. France boarders with eight other European countries cross the Pyrenees and you are in Spain cross the alps and you are in Switzerland. Within this section of our website, we have attempted to provide by way of images a taste of the splendour of France and in particular South West France. These few images will give you just an idea of the diversity of South West France from rolling hills near Saint Emilion to La Rochelle a city steeped in history. The coastline of south West France as to be the best in France it again so diverse in its own right. From villages by the sea like Talmont which received the badge “plus beau village de France” to cities by the sea like La Rochelle which just overflows with history. Quiet seaside bays, mountains, rolling hills, coastline, lakes add culture and you have South West France.
