Erasmus internships and traineeships in France

La Giraudiere via its own Volunteers and Internship programs as been hosting, and training, interns or trainees for the last 12 years or more. We are quite acquainted with providing a learning environment for a solid internship and we have had experience with the various Erasmus plus programs.

In 2016 we received our accreditation certificate as a receiving agency for the European Voluntary Service or EVS which as since been superseded by the new Erasmus Solidarity Corps program.

We now embrace the newly formed Erasmus+ Internship program which is an opportunity available to both students and recent graduates. In order to apply for Erasmus, grant your traineeship with us must take place within one year of your graduation and you must apply while still being enrolled at your higher education institution. This most important as they will be acting as your sending organisation.

At La Giraudiere we accept interns through the Erasmus+ Programme. All our internships encompass language learning courses of either French or English. At La Giraudiere the emphases are on training or learning as we provide a relax atmosphere in which to learn and take on your newly acquired skills. All Inclusive Erasmus Internship

You have already achieved one of the most difficult tasks of this program and that is finding an organisation that offers internships under this scheme. You have also achieved the most second difficult task and that is, after finding an internship, finding accommodation well at La Giraudiere it is all inclusive yes internship, language course, accommodation, meals and so much more is included.

There is an accommodation fee to pay but, remember you will be eligible for a grant which you apply for via your university or faculty. You can see the fees and what is included at Erasmus Internship Accommodation Fees page. You should also look at Erasmus Internship Agreement.

ECTS Credits and your La Giraudiere Erasmus Internship / traineeship

During your internship you will also receive ECTS credit points. Please make note that for the present it is only possible to do internships at La Giraudiere for a period of up to 3 months. During your internship you will also receive ECTS credit points.

You can also go for an internship / traineeship abroad as a recent graduate. In this case, your traineeship must occur within one year of your graduation and you must apply while still being enrolled in your higher education institution. This opportunity is open for students registered in a higher education institution holding an Erasmus+ Charter for Higher Education.

Your Erasmus internship / traineeship should be relevant for your degree-related learning and personal development needs and, wherever possible, be integrated in your study programme.

Before you start your La Giraudiere Erasmus Internship / traineeship abroad:

You, your higher education institution and La Giraudiere as the receiving organisation must sign a Learning Agreement for the internship / Traineeships to ensure a transparent and efficient preparation of the internship. This document sets out rights and responsibilities of the various parties, a detailed programme of the traineeship, information on insurance, and how your Erasmus internship / traineeship will be recognised upon successful completion.

After you have completed your La Giraudiere Erasmus internship / traineeship abroad:

La Giraudiere as the receiving organisation/enterprise will send you and your higher education institution a Erasmus / Traineeship Certificate, normally within five weeks after successful completion of the La Giraudiere Erasmus Internship / traineeship.

Your higher education institution must recognise your internship / traineeship abroad, according to the commitments agreed within the learning agreement and without any further requirements.

If your higher education institution is in a Programme country, the information contained in the Traineeship Certificate should also be included in the Diploma Supplement, except if you are a recent graduate. In this case, it is recommended to record the Internship / traineeship in the trainee’s Europass Mobility Document.
