Bordeaux Airport is the nearest airport to La Giraudiere and a large percentage of the volunteers and interns arrive via Bordeaux Airport.
So we have created a webpage giving information about the airport and links to flights, airlines and other services you can visit the page at Bordeaux Airport
Once at the airport you have to get to the Gare Saint Jean station, or la gare, to do this you have a choice of either the regular bus service or the shuttle service.
Direct shuttle Bordeaux Airport – Bordeaux Train station
The 30’Direct shuttle offers a direct 30-minute service between Bordeaux Mérignac Airport and La Gare Saint-Jean train station, to provide passengers with an easy link between two of the region’s key transport hubs. Available all day.
The 30’Direct shuttle goes from Hall B of Bordeaux Mérignac Airport to Bordeaux Saint-Jean train station, and it helps travellers transfer easily from plane to train and vice versa. These coaches operate every day of the year, they have air-conditioning and free on-board WiFi and they are accessible to passengers with reduced mobility. Passengers are guaranteed a seat.
Regular Bus Service Airport Bordeaux to Bordeaux Station
The regular bus service – Access to Bordeaux Airport by bus is via Lianes 1, which serves the city centres of Bordeaux and Mérignac as well as the train station, and offers connections to the city’s tram lines. This could take an hour plus which, if you have time, is a good way to see part of Bordeaux.
La ligne 1 bus (Bordeaux Gare Saint Jean) as 40 stops from airport depart to station at Bordeaux Gare Saint-Jean. Soon the tram extention of line A will be finished and open.
